Job Description Tax Accountant Hertfordshire | £55,000–£60,000 + Bonus | Hybrid – 3 Days Office An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Accountant to join the finance team of a large, successful and established international business. Reporting to the Head of Tax, you’ll play a key role in supporting the organisation across its UK tax obligations, with particular focus on corporation tax, VAT, tax reporting and compliance. You’ll also support and help develop a Tax Assistant. This is a broad role offering exposure across both compliance and wider commercial tax matters, working closely with senior finance stakeholders, external advisers and HMRC. Preparing quarterly tax calculations based on forecasts and budgets Producing corporation tax computations and returns for approximately 12 entities Preparing annual IFRS 101 and IFRS 102 corporate tax disclosures Analysing tax data and undertaking tax sensitivity assessments Supporting the Head of Tax throughout the tax compliance process Supporting PAYE Settlement Agreement reporting Working with Alphatax and other finance/tax systems Providing guidance, support and development to a Tax Assistant Building strong relationships across Finance and the wider business Supporting ad hoc tax projects and keeping up to date with relevant legislation ATT, ACA, ACCA or CTA qualification (or equivalent) with post-qualified experience Strong exposure to corporation tax and VAT Advanced Excel skills Salary of £55,000–£60,000, plus performance-related bonus and a strong benefits package The role will operate on a hybrid basis following induction and training, with three days per week based in the Hertfordshire office and occasional travel to other UK locations as required.
