Assistant Financial Accountant Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk (hybrid working available) Our client, a well-established group of companies, is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant to play a key role in the group's month-end process. This is a great opportunity for a part-qualified or AAT qualified accountant to build strong group accounting and consolidation experience. The Role You'll be at the heart of month-end, with responsibility for: Posting month-end journals: consolidation adjustments, prepayments, accruals, fixed assets and ad-hoc entries Reconciling intercompany balances across the group and resolving differences Preparing the monthly consolidation file and summary financial information Preparing monthly management accounts and board packs Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining fixed asset registers You'll also support year-end statutory accounts (FRS 102), the external audit and tax compliance. About You AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA (or equivalent) A solid understanding of financial accounting Organised, highly numerate and deadline-driven Strong Excel skills Group month-end experience is an advantage but not essential. ...
