SRM Recruitment are currently partnering exclusively with a high-growth SME based on the outskirts of Guildford, Surrey, to recruit a Management Accountant on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a key hire for the business as the Finance function acts as a true business partner to stakeholders.
In this broad and varied role, the Management Accountant will support the Financial Controller in the day-to-day accounting and month-end processes, ensuring the financial records are accurate, complete and delivered on time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
- Day-to-day accounting and month-end processes, ensuring the financial records are accurate, complete and delivered on time.
- Supporting the month-end close process, ensuring accurate revenue recognition.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and year-end audit.
- Partnering closely with stakeholders across the business to understand key drivers and support commercial decision-making.
- Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
- Banking and VAT.
We would be keen to speak with candidates who possess the following skills and experience:
- Part-qualified or qualified by experience Accountants (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with relevant experience.
- Strong management accounting and financial analysis experience.
- Commercially minded, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work using own initiative and build and maintain relationships with non finance colleagues.#
- Advanced level Excel.
- Experience of using SAP B1.
- Excellent communicator who can work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Key information:
- Our client is offering a salary of £34,000–£38,000.
- Fully office based but there is the possibility of some flexible/hybrid working.
- 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.
