Introduction
The role of a Nursery Apprentice is to work alongside the management team to provide a high level of professional care and educational enrichment to all children in the setting.

The nursery provides facilities for children aged from 3 months through to pre-school age and is registered as GOOD with Ofsted.
What You'll Do
- Support fellow educators/practitioners to deliver the setting’s curriculum and standard of practice.
- Work towards an early years qualification with support from the setting’s staff and training provider.
- Seek support from members of the team to assist your learning.
- Work closely with children aged 0-5 years old, looking after their daily needs such as feeding, nappy changing and toileting.
- Work as part of a team to deliver and meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage for all children.
- Plan, provide and support age-appropriate play opportunities in line with the curriculum and individual needs of the children in your care.
- Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all children in your care.
- Observe, assess and record children’s learning and development progress.
- Provide an enabling environment that meets the needs of each unique individual child.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents/carers.
- Adhere to and follow the setting’s policies and procedures.
- Attend regular team meetings.
- Ensure standards of health and safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
- Attend additional training events and meetings as identified by the Setting Manager for training requirements.
- Training Outcome
Upon completion of this apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity for further study by completing the Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner course.
They are a growing setting and plan to expand their staff for future plans.
Internal progression to different job roles available.
The employer guarantees full-time permanent employment upon completion of this apprenticeship.
