We are seeking an ambitious, experienced Accountant to join our Music and Entertainment team. The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified with post-qualification experience and a high work ethic. You should have a strong accountancy background in practice, with experience of working across a client portfolio including music industry clients. The team are looking for a Supervisor who has experience of liaising directly with clients to coordinate general compliance requirements in statutory accounts, management accounts and general day-to-day bookkeeping.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Taking Supervisor-level responsibility for the delivery and preparation of statutory accounts, helping to coordinate the final disclosure and tax team reviews with the relevant departments.
  • Helping to drive change in streamlining processes within the overall workflow, on both the client’s side and within the team, to include maximising the efficiency of our resources.
  • Assisting with the delivery of monthly deadlines to include liaising with clients and the team to finalise monthly management accounts, quarterly VAT, FEU and CT61 returns.
  • Assisting in the final preparation packs to assemble comprehensive information and meeting agendas in advance of client meetings.

  • High numerical and analytic prowess.
  • Intermediate to Advanced level skilled on Excel.

  • Confident in approaching other internal teams to discuss and solve problems.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
  • Strong prior experience within a practice and exposure to music industry accounting is essential.
  • ACCA or ACA qualified.
  • Advanced knowledge on desktop and cloud-based general bookkeeping software, to ideally include QuickBooks and Xero.
  • Solid experience of using statutory accounting software packages, with Caseware being a desirable option but not essential (additional support and training can be provided).
  • Audit experience is highly desirable but not essential.
