We are seeking an ambitious and eager to learn bookkeeper to join our Corporate team.
In this varied role, you will support the team’s seniors and managers on their portfolios and liaise directly with clients across a number of industries including retail, hospitality, consultants, and worldwide wholesalers.
This is an exciting role that will vary day to day and will require someone resilient who can thrive in high-pressure situations and who can communicate confidently with all types of people and personalities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be a “go-to” person on the job, liaising directly with the client on day-to-day bookkeeping issues – requesting information, answering queries, and raising queries on jobs to the clients.
- Review and finalize the work of junior staff.
- Support with account reconciliations e.g. Sales, Creditors, Accruals, etc.
- Prepare VAT returns up to Senior or Manager review.
- Preparation of management accounts, including month-end adjustments e.g. prepayments, foreign exchange, etc.
- Help to drive change in streamlining processes within the overall workflow, on both the client’s side and within the team, to include maximizing the efficiency of our resources.
- Assist with the delivery of monthly deadlines to include liaising with clients and the team to finalize monthly management accounts and quarterly VAT.
WHO YOU ARE
- You will have some bookkeeping experience within a practice environment and a high work ethic.
- A “self-starter” with a proactive attitude, engaging and comfortable using your initiative.
- Comfortable working independently with the ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage the workload and meet deadlines.
- Highly numerical and analytical.
- Intermediate to Advanced level skilled in Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident in approaching other internal teams and clients to discuss and solve problems.
- Resilient and able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
SYSTEMS
In the role, you will have exposure to the following systems; however, you are not required to have experience in all of these as this is something you can learn: QuickBooks Online, Xero, Excel, Microsoft 365, Virtual Cabinet, SAP.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Hours: 9.30am – 5.30pm
- Flexible working: 3 days (+) in office, 2 days at home (after probation period).
