Traffic Signal Maintenance Engineer, Birmingham
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Traffic Signal Maintenance Engineer to work primarily with our ‘Urban64’ product, which is fundamentally similar in nature to permanent signals, but installed temporarily, throughout the UK. Our mission is to create safer, more efficient roads through sustainable solutions.
About the Role
The role will report into a Technical Manager and will share responsibilities with other colleagues, working in a small team as part of a wider, UK wide, team structure. The postholder will be working primarily with our ‘Urban64’ product.
Key Accountabilities
- Travel to sites across the UK to carry out inspections, surveys, SAT’s, validations, and meetings with customers. Overnight stays likely.
- Technical support, including remotely diagnosing faults, inspecting radars, controllers and other equipment.
- Site Acceptance Testing.
- Liaising with customers and communicating with them.
Key Skills
- Understanding of traffic signal design fundamentals and UK standards
- Familiarity with signal layout drawings
- Experience with UTC
- Experience of Site Acceptance Testing
- MCH / TR2500 specification reading and understanding
- Repairs and maintenance of traffic signal equipment
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- MOVA experience
