This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced, operational business where HR plays a key role in supporting frontline teams. As an HR Advisor at SRL Traffic Systems, you’ll work closely with managers across multiple sites, providing practical, commercially focused HR support. You’ll take ownership of employee relations cases, coach managers to build confidence in people management, and contribute to improving HR processes and policies.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same - ideal for someone who enjoys being visible in the business and making a real impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers on absence, performance, disciplinaries and grievances.
  • Manage employee relations cases end-to-end, with support from the HR Manager where required.
  • Coach and support managers to build capability and confidence in handling people matters.
  • Prepare and manage HR documentation, including contracts, letters and formal correspondence.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures across the business.
  • Review and develop fit-for-purpose HR policies and processes aligned to business needs.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Support absence management, wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
  • Analyse trends and contribute to HR reporting and people metrics.
  • Build strong relationships across the business, with regular travel to depot sites.
About You
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor role (ideally within an operational or multi-site environment).
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (essential).
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Confident advising, challenging and influencing managers where needed.
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with strong commercial awareness.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Highly organised, resilient and able to manage a varied workload.
  • Willing and able to travel regularly to Solihull and occasionally to other locations.
