About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Control Admin Assistant to support our credit control team in managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for finance and customer service.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist in monitoring outstanding debts and following up with clients via phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Maintain and update customer account records accurately in the finance system.
- Process incoming payments and allocate them to the correct accounts.
- Support the preparation of aged debt reports and other financial summaries.
- Liaise with internal departments to resolve invoice queries and disputes.
- Assist with credit checks and the setup of new customer accounts.
- Prepare and send monthly statements and reminders to clients.
- File and archive documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Provide general administrative support to the credit control team.
Key Skills
- Previous experience in an administrative or finance-related role (credit control experience desirable).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP, QuickBooks) is a plus.
