We are working with a highly innovative organisation within process improvements across all key areas of innovation. This is a key role supporting payroll operations and delivering transactional, financial, and management accounting services across a group of companies. This is a great opportunity for someone with good payroll experience and knowledge to start a successful career with an established organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage payroll using Sage (or equivalent) and ensure HMRC connectivity
- Administer Bupa deductions and issue payslips
- Process payroll payments via online banking
- Prepare and post month-end payroll journals
- Administer pension schemes and salary sacrifice programmes
- Reconcile payroll figures and produce year-end returns
- Process expense claims and analyse timesheets
- Support month-end financial reporting and VAT submissions
- Maintain fixed asset registers and intercompany balances
About You:
- Educated to GCSE level 4-6 (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- Experience with Sage (or similar payroll software)
- Previous experience in finance and payroll functions
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with month-end procedures and processes
Desirable:
- HND (or equivalent) in a finance discipline (e.g., AAT)
- Experience in both private and public sector finance environments
- Familiarity with D365 systems
