We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join a client based in Bedfordshire. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on testing, data analysis, and customer-facing engineering work within a highly respected test and development environment.
Key responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Coordinate testing activities across site, acting as a clear technical point of contact
- Analyse test data and produce well-structured technical reports suitable for both internal review and customer-facing use
- Turn customer objectives and internal research ideas into well-defined test plans, including cost estimates and delivery timelines
- Assist with on-site customer support and technical visits when required
- Build expertise in current and emerging mechanical and automotive test methodologies
- Support technical training sessions for commercial teams and external partners
- Assist with vehicle fleet trials
- Communicate technical findings clearly to engineers, sales teams, and external stakeholders.
About you:
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical engineering experience
- Comfortable working with test data and confident using MS Excel for analysis and reporting
- Able to explain technical information clearly, whether in written reports, presentations, or face-to-face discussions
- Naturally collaborative, with the confidence to work across teams and with external partners.
