An established, high‑performing manufacturing organisation operating within a highly regulated environment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its night shift engineering team. This is a hands‑on role supporting the smooth operation of electro‑mechanical processing and packaging machinery. You'll play a critical part in ensuring production uptime, equipment reliability, and the highest standards of safety and quality during night operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out reactive and proactive maintenance on processing and packaging equipment
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and rectify mechanical, electrical and control system faults to minimise downtime
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and support continuous improvement activities
  • Work closely with Production and Line Leaders to maintain efficient line performance
  • Accurately record maintenance activity, breakdowns and PPMs within the CMMS
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and site procedures at all times
  • Support and lead equipment improvements and small engineering projects
  • Participate in effective shift handovers and technical communication across teams

Skills & Experience Required

  • Time‑served apprentice or equivalent engineering background
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills
  • NVQ Level 3 / ONC / HNC / BTEC (or equivalent) in Engineering or Maintenance
  • Experience working with processing and packaging machinery
  • Working knowledge of PLC fault finding, inspection camera systems, inverters, servo and DC drives
  • Experience working with voltages from 415V to 24VDC
  • Familiarity with 18th Edition wiring regulations (desirable)
  • Previous maintenance experience within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, medical device or similar regulated industry advantageous)
  • Confident working both independently and as part of a night shift team
