About the role
We are looking for a skilled and experienced BMS Project Engineer to join our wider BEMS Optimisation division, playing an integral part in delivery and achieving long term impact. This role is responsible for small/medium sized projects such as upgrades as well as performing optimisation works, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance to our clients. The successful candidate will have the ability to create and modify software strategies and collaborate with Project Managers in order to lead small teams.

Our contractual hours are 37.5 hours a week (Monday to Friday) however due to the nature of the work and client requirements there may need to be on call or complete overtime and pay for this is always provided as detailed.
Job requirements
- Experienced in the maintenance of Building Management Systems
- Qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (to HNC/ONC or equivalent)
- Substantial experience and/or qualifications in Trend (IQ Vision desirable) and/or Tridium systems
- Qualifications or experience with Cylon desirable
- Ability to find solutions to complex problems, with attention to detail
- Thorough appreciation of site operations and procedures in line with clients and stakeholders demands.
- Great persistence in seeking continual improvement for both yourself and the company.

Job responsibilities
- Always maintain full awareness of Health & Safety standards and protocols, before during and after accessing client sites.
- Review and sign on to RAMS on commencement of each engagement and ensure acknowledged by the client organisation.
- Review the site in line with the issued RAMs and look for any changes that will require a workplace risk assessment to mitigate the new risks, using discretion to terminate a job if standards are not adhered to or risks deemed too high to continue.
- Ensure Health & Safety certification is up to date.
- Lead the delivery of project works and be involved in high level integration.
- Overseeing projects from start to finish to ensure works are completed on time and in budget.
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating all relevant works, as necessary.
- Liaising with internal management, clients and third parties to achieve project goals.
- Oversee and support installation and commissioning works on site.
- Developing and deploying of key client works from concept through to delivery and handover.
- Supporting the growth of the business by expanding skills through development and training as well as sharing knowledge and skills with others to aid in growth of the overall project delivery team.
- Build and maintain relationships with the clients, looking after the needs of the site, and making improvements where applicable.
