SRG are working with a leading waste management and recycling company with a long track record of supporting the UK chemical industry. They invest in their people, with strong training and career development.
They’re now looking for a Technical Assessor to apply chemistry knowledge in a practical waste setting, making technical decisions that keep waste managed safely, efficiently and compliantly.
Ideal for an experienced Site Chemist wanting an office-based technical role. Recent Chemistry graduates will also be considered if they want to build a career in commercial / compliance rather than the lab.
Role / Description
- Assess technical and chemical waste enquiries from customers and sales teams.
- Identify suitable disposal routes for packaged and bulk waste.
- Produce accurate quotations in line with legislation, permits and commercial requirements.
- Coordinate laboratory testing where further waste analysis is required.
- Provide technical advice to customers and internal teams on waste acceptance and disposal.
- Manage non-conformances and support waste acceptance activities within quality and safety standards.
- Build strong working relationships with third-party treatment and disposal partners.
Requirements
- HND/HNC or BSC in Chemistry or course with significant chemistry content.
- Previous experience in a Site Chemist role, with knowledge of chemical waste analysis and waste management processes, is preferred
- Must have full right to work in the UK there is no sponsorship available for this role.
