Cheshire West - Hybrid working from 4 days onsite per week

Salary - £25,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)

SRG is working with a world leading speciality chemicals business who are looking to recruit a junior toxicologist as part of the regulatory and compliance team. This opportunity would suit someone with a university degree in toxicology, biology or biochemistry with a keen eye for detail and solving regulatory problems. A PhD in toxicology or a similar discipline would be highly beneficial.

Role Description

  • Leading toxicology and risk assessment activities to support global chemical registrations, product defence, and regulatory compliance.
  • Planning, managing, and interpreting toxicology testing programmes, including higher and lower tier studies, to support regulatory submissions.
  • Reviewing toxicological hazard and exposure data, conducting risk assessments, and providing expert technical advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting hazard classification, labelling, and SDS authoring activities, while maintaining accurate toxicological data within regulatory databases.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments, representing the company within industry groups and consortia, and driving adoption of modern toxicology approaches to minimise animal testing.

Requirements

  • University degree in toxicology, biology, chemistry or biochemistry.
  • A PhD in toxicology would be highly beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of toxicology and/or REACH regulation would be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to communicate complex subjects to a wider audience.
  • Able to commute 4 days per week to site in the Cheshire west area or willing to relocate.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
