Salary: up to £55,000 dependant on experience

SRG are working with a leading waste management and recycling company who have a long and very successful history of supporting the UK chemical industry. They are now looking for a Transfer Station Manager to join the team. This is a hands‑on role within the waste industry, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the site, leading the team and driving improvements across safety, performance and efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of the transfer station.
- Maintain high standards across safety, environmental compliance and site operations.
- Manage, coach and develop the site team.
- Monitor KPIs and improve productivity, service and cost control.
- Take responsibility for site budgets and financial performance.
- Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
Requirements
- Must have COTC and IOSH qualifications.
- Experience managing a transfer station, waste facility or similar operational environment.
- Strong leadership and commercial skills, ideally with P&L, transport or logistics experience.
- Full right to work in the UK there is no sponsorship available for this role
