Overview
SRG are partnered with a Scotland-based early stage scientific company seeking a Health and Safety Manager to lead the safe working environment for employees and visitors in a busy chemistry laboratory setting (manufacturing and R&D).
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organisation\’s HSE policies to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
- Establish and maintain risk assessment processes.
- Lead investigations into accidents and/or incidents.
- Deliver HSE training to all employees and executives and maintain training records through internal auditing.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across multiple locations to promote a positive HSE culture and standards.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Chemistry (or similar).
- Relevant industrial experience in a chemical R&D/manufacturing site.
- Training/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.
- In-depth knowledge of legislation.
- Experience writing reports and policies for health & safety.
