SRG are delighted to be partnered with one of Scotland's most innovative science start-ups based in the West End of Glasgow. Having had an extremely successful 2025, the company is continuing to expand across multiple teams and is currently looking for a scientist to join their robotic maintenance team.
This person will have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of organic synthetic chemistry and will be able to use those concepts to ensure the continuous operation of equipment throughout the lab.
The Role
As an engineering technician, your key responsibility will be to ensure the continuous operation of various pieces of equipment throughout the company's cutting-edge laboratory. You will use your already established understanding of organic synthetic chemistry, blended with on-the-job engineering skills to support the production department by maintaining a suite of high-end robotic systems.
You will work closely across multiple areas of the business (chemistry, engineering and software development), and by collaborating with these teams ensuring production operations remain uninterrupted.
The Right Person
- Degree-level qualification in Chemistry (or similar)
- Prior experience in a synthetic/organic chemistry laboratory environment
- Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with other teams
- Able to work on a rotating shift pattern
