About the Role
SRG are recruiting an Account Specialist – Haematology on behalf of a leading pharmaceutical company. This field-based role will cover the Anglia, Essex, Thames Valley, and North London territory. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, executing in-field brand strategy and communicating the value proposition effectively. You will develop strong customer relationships, maximise account opportunities through robust planning, and deliver sustained sales performance within a complex NHS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own customer engagement with target HCPs across multiple channels, aligned to customer preferences and brand strategy
- Develop and execute SMART pre-call objectives in line with territory and brand plans
- Deliver effective sales calls, handling objections and consistently closing with clear calls to action
- Educate healthcare professionals and relevant decision-makers on disease, product, and market landscape
- Identify, develop, and nurture key advocates across the territory
- Organise and manage stakeholder meetings and collaborations
- Differentiate the company’s value proposition versus competitors
- Demonstrate strong NHS knowledge, navigating system barriers to identify collaborative opportunities
- Analyse CRM and sales data alongside field insights to adapt and optimise territory plans
- Develop and implement a business plan for the territory aligned to brand strategy
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Market Access, Medical, and Territory Partners
- Share best practices to enhance overall business performance
- Ensure full adherence to company policies, ABPI code, and compliance requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in pharmaceutical sales
- Experience within haematology and/or oncology
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong customer engagement and relationship-building skills
- Ability to tailor communication style based on customer insights
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- Comfortable adopting new ways of working, including digital engagement tools
- Self-motivated with a strong performance-driven mindset
- Solution-focused, resilient, and determined to achieve results
- High attention to detail, self-awareness, and strong work ethic
