QC Analyst required on a temporary 6-month contract, based in Cheshire. Requiring a recent degree in Chemistry, with knowledge and/or recent, proven industrial experience of wet chemistry analysis, GC and/or HPLC. Recent Chemistry graduates encouraged to apply.

Salary: £27,000 - £33,000 (dependent on experience, pro-rata)

Employment Term: Temporary 6-month contract

SRG are working with a multinational company that specialises in the creation of speciality chemicals for a range of markets. They are now looking for a QC Analyst to join their analytical team on a temporary contract at their site based in Cheshire. This role will include analysing raw samples and finished products using a range of analytical techniques and instrumentation, along with recording and reporting data accordingly. Candidates who have proven industrial experience of wet chemistry analysis, GC and HPLC are encouraged to apply, although recent Chemistry graduates will be considered, and training can be provided.

Role / Description:

  • Performing wet chemistry techniques to analyse raw materials and finished products (including titrations, pH testing, density testing and others).
  • Using analytical instrumentation for analysis including HPLC, GC and IC through following methodology provided.
  • Recording and reporting data within the quality system—completing documents and spreadsheets accurately.
  • Reporting results in a timely fashion under direction and priority.
  • Performing analytical investigations and tests to meet research and customer needs.
  • Having responsibility for maintenance and upkeep of analytical equipment.
  • Approving and rejecting raw materials.

Requirements:

  • Recent Degree in Chemistry (or similar).
  • Recent Chemistry graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge and/or recent, proven industrial experience of wet chemistry analysis, HPLC and/or GC.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
  • Work well within a small team with good time management and organisational skills.
