IT Operations Contractor (ISO 27001 / SOC 2)
5 days onsite, City of London (EC3N) | Contract, 3-6 months | £500 per day, Outside IR35
Our client is a data and analytics consultancy working with private equity firms and their portfolio companies. They're looking for an experienced IT Operations contractor to support their internal IT team through an office relocation and preparation for ISO 27001 and SOC 2 audits.
It's a hands-on role with a broader scope than standard IT support. You will manage the IT apprentice and work with an offshore team in Chennai.
What You'll Be Doing
- Handing over from the outgoing IT Manager and taking ownership of day-to-day IT operations
- Managing and supporting the IT apprentice
- Administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune, including endpoint management
- Gathering and maintaining evidence for ISO 27001 and SOC 2 audits
- Delivering IT and infrastructure workstreams for the office move (practical completion 18th December, full relocation 4th January)
- Providing hands-on IT support across the business
- Working with the offshore Chennai team
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a hands-on IT Operations or IT Manager-level role
- Strong Microsoft 365, Entra and Intune experience
- Previous ISO 27001 audit experience
- Experience delivering IT for an office move or relocation
- Experience supporting or managing junior team members
- Comfortable working with offshore or remote teams
- Available to start Monday 16th November
- Able to work some days over Christmas, up to 23rd December
- Happy to sign an NDA as part of onboarding

- SOC 2 audit or readiness experience
