SR Drivers are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 and HGV Class 2 Drivers for a well-established logistics company based in Coventry (CV5). This role is ideal for drivers who want simple, consistent trunking work with early morning starts and no handball.
Responsibilities:
- Trunking Trailer drop and Swaps
- Multi drop palletised delivery
- Work Monday to Friday starting from 04:30am onwards
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays
- Adhere to all legal requirements for commercial driving, including hours of service regulations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times during operations
Qualifications:
- Valid UK driving licence suitable for heavy goods vehicles (HGV) C+E
- MUST have 2 years HGV Class 1 & HGV Class 2 experience
- Demonstrable knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise deliveries
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and responsibly in a fast-paced environment
What You’ll get:
- Work Shifts Monday to Friday
- PAYE Weekly Pay
- Class 1 £16.50 per hour (this rate doesn't include holiday pay)
- Class 2 £14.50 per hour (this rate doesn't include holiday pay)
- Wages on a Friday
- Wage slip via email on Thursday
- Same Automatic HGV Class 1 vehicle
- Same Manual HGV Class 2 Vehicle
