We carry out multi-disciplinary design packages and support clients with turnkey domain expertise in their teams.

Location: London – flexible to travel between SRC Office (Canary Wharf) and various client offices.
Job Summary: Day‑to‑day you will be involved in the design, engineering and project management of infrastructure projects based in the UK. You will be required to assist in planning, coordinating and executing engineering projects within your area of expertise, as well as representing SRC at client facing meetings with confidence and credibility. You will be working closely and directly with external/client staff, key stakeholders and the internal SRC team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects and deliverables.
- Interpretation and implementation of client specification requirements in the development of designs and engineering solutions.
- Undertake and monitor the project team’s engineering tasks in accordance with the company’s quality, safety and project management/engineering procedures and controls.
- Accountable for the effective delivery of the project engineering tasks and deliverables of Projects to time, to the required quality.
- Inputs to the formulation of technical proposals and their presentation to potential clients.
- Maintain good relationships with client’s key representatives, and contribute to the marketing / networking of the company to potential customers.
- Monitor compliance to relevant TfL or Network Rail, British and International standards, Regulations, health safety and environmental considerations.
- Communicate with the Project Manager and wider team to provide assistance and technical support.
- Ensure all engineering activities are carried out with consideration to key stakeholders in interfacing environments.
- Contribute to the overall team development and growth through strategic inputs, skill development and mentoring intermediate and graduate engineers.
- Manage and plan your work and deliverables while working on multiple projects to meet the expected delivery milestones.
- Undertake and monitor design reviews in accordance with requirements and programme.
Qualifications:
- Right to work in the UK.
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Bsc, MSc or MEng).
- At least 5+ years of previous professional engineering design / design management experience on transportation, water, and/or land development projects.
- Experience in the Rail Industry and a sound understanding of the Rail Environment, rules and regulations.
- Experience and good knowledge of TfL Pathway or Network Rail GRIP, PACE and engineering standards and specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work under pressure within time constraints.
- Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base.
- Proven capability to build relationships, be proactive and be part of a variety of teams, including multidisciplinary teams.
- Computer literate and good experience of computer software programs such as, MS Office (Word, Excel, Project).
- Familiarity with working in a regulated environment such as the London Underground or other operational networks.
- Knowledge of civil, structures and architectural disciplines in the rail industry.
- Experience in Building Cooling Systems.
- Master of Science Degree in Engineering Subject or related.
- Member of relevant professional body with chartership or working towards chartered status.
- Knowledge of the complete project life cycle.
- Good knowledge of TfL or Network Rail standards, systems and procedures.
- Knowledge of TfL or Network Rail assurance processes.
