About the role

This is a hands-on role at the heart of our processing operations, contributing directly to the production of high-quality recycled aggregates. As a key member of the site team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the soil wash processing plant. You will play a vital role in maintaining production standards, ensuring environmental compliance, and upholding SRC Group’s commitment to health, safety, and quality.

Main purpose of job

To operate and ensure the smooth running of the processing plant, to fulfil customer requirements in the supply of high-quality aggregates. Responsible for ensuring that housekeeping, routine maintenance, health and safety, and environmental compliance for the plant and stocking yard.

The ideal candidate:

  • Enthusiastic, reliable and eager to learn
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment
  • Able to communicate effectively with colleagues, managers and external stakeholders
  • Well-organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently
  • A proactive team player with a strong focus on safety and quality
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness to work (due to layout of the plant which is on multiple levels with steps)
  • Preferably recognised qualification to operate processing and mobile plant (preferably CPCS or MPQC) or working towards
  • Clean UK driving license
  • Preferable experience with operating and basic maintenance of processing and mobile plant
