MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: To operate and ensure the smooth running of the processing plant, to fulfil customer requirements in the supply of high-quality aggregates. Responsible for ensuring that housekeeping, routine maintenance, health and safety, and environmental standards for the plant and stocking yard are met.

- Responsible for: None
- Liaison with: Directors, Managers, Employees, Clients, Suppliers
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate processing plant system to reduce all raw material to appropriate size for further resale.
- Service and assist in repair of the processing plant.
- Perform housekeeping duties around processing plant.
- Start up and shut down procedures of the processing plant.
- Monitor raw aggregate material being loaded into the hopper and check for quality of products being produced.
- Stop processing plant in the event of a problem using correct procedures.
- Inspect processing plant at beginning, end, and throughout the day as needed.
- Report any problems to the Quarry Manager.
- Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
- Responsible for all associated mobile plant including maintenance and daily checks procedures excluding ADT.
- Responsible for the removal of all waste products in line with the Company’s Environmental policy.
- Ensure PPE is worn at all times.
- Comply with the company’s Factory Production Control Manual in support of SRC Quality Objectives.
- Act in accordance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and practices highlighting any issues appropriately.
- Perform other duties as directed.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Enthusiastic, committed and a fast learner with previous experience of a busy environment.
- Ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external customers and contacts.
- Solid organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Preferably recognised qualification to operate processing and mobile plant (preferably CPCS or MPQC) or working towards.
- Clean UK driving license.
- Experience with operating and basic maintenance of processing and mobile plant.
