SR2 is recruiting for an experienced Solutions Architect to support the design and assurance of technical solutions within a central government, GDS-aligned environment. This role is suited to someone with strong technical understanding who is comfortable operating in a hands-off capacity, focusing on architecture design, governance, standards, and documentation rather than day-to-day delivery.
The role:
- Design and shape technical solutions aligned to business and user needs
- Provide architectural oversight and assurance across projects
- Ensure solutions comply with governance, security, and architectural standards
- Produce and maintain high-quality architectural documentation
- Work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Operate in line with GDS principles and central government best practice
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of technical architecture and cloud-based systems
- Proven experience working with AWS
- Experience in central government and/or GDS environments
- Comfortable working in a more hands-off, strategic and solution driven role
- Strong governance mindset with excellent documentation skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to a range of stakeholders
You must be eligible and happy to go through Security Check (SC) clearance.

- Remote first (adhoc travel to London for key meetings)

- £600 a day
- Start date: Feb-March 2026
