I have an exciting new role for an experienced Software Tester who is looking to step up into more of a Test leadership role to join my client based in Bristol. They would love someone local enough to come in for meetings as and when needed which could be a couple of times a month, although you are welcome to go in more if you wish. They company is a software house who have been going through an exciting period of growth and transformation, and have created a culture where quality is really embraced and taken seriously by the company. They currently have a team of 12 Testers/ QAs (8 manual, and 4 automation) split across several teams, and they are now looking for an experienced Software Tester/ Senior QA to step into more of a leadership role for a team of 4 manual testers. In this role, you'll mentor and manage the team while continuing to play a hands-on role in manual testing for their products. Automation testing is handled by a dedicated team, allowing you to focus on the manual aspects. The role is approximately 80-90% hands-on testing, with the remaining time devoted to more managerial responsibilities. The company is constantly striving to enhance its ways of working, and would love someone who is passionate about QA and eager to drive improvements. They would like someone proactive individuals who is enthusiastic about refining processes and implementing meaningful changes. VYou'll need a solid track record within software testing and while prior line management experience is not essential, they are looking for someone ready to step into a leadership role and make a real impact.
