Would you like to spend your day-job helping the UK become net-zero? These opportunities don’t come around too often. I’m working with a start-up that supports the UK’s goal of becoming Net Zero by 2050. The work you’ll do will genuinely help save the planet. They are a team of circa 20 (with around 50% of the business in engineering) and want to add a Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer to their existing team in Bristol. After launching in early 2024, they’ve built an impressive customer base and significant revenue generation. Their next step is to develop their suite of products further and cover new areas within the renewable energy sector.
You’ll be working on a range of exciting projects and tackling highly complex engineering problems, so this is an opportunity for someone who enjoys an intellectually challenging role. You’ll have strong skills across the JavaScript/TypeScript stack and can lean either towards the backend or frontend; the main requirement is that you are comfortable working full stack and keen to get stuck into build mode. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who wants to make an environmental impact or who is excited by joining an early-stage start-up, or both.
What you’ll need:
- Strong experience across the TypeScript stack (Node.js & React)
- Comfortable across both backend & frontend development, but can lean towards one area of the stack
- Experience in a fast-paced start-up environment or ability to operate in such an environment
- A strong user-focus; building products that focus on how they will impact the most important people - the users
- The desire to work alongside other exceptional developers and work on intellectually challenging engineering problems
- A passion for environmentally-focussed products or developing clever solutions for society-wide issues
- Highly collaborative and enthusiastic about working on a hybrid-working basis alongside amazing colleagues a couple of days a week in Bristol
