We are partnering with a growing UK software and consulting business to find a commercially driven Chief Revenue Officer to lead and scale their sales function. Our client specialises in IT Service Management (ITSM), implementing and reselling ServiceNow. They work across Defence, Central Government and Financial Services, and are now investing in senior commercial leadership to take revenue to the next level.

The opportunity

This is a genuine player/coach role for someone who wants to sell from the front and upskill a team behind them. You will personally carry a target and win new business, while coaching and developing the existing sellers and bringing structure to how the business goes to market. It suits an ambitious, hungry commercial leader who wants to prove what they can do and be rewarded for it. The package is deliberately weighted toward performance, with a lower base, strong OTE and an uncapped bonus accelerator that can take total earnings well beyond plan for those who over-deliver.

What you'll be doing

  • Selling directly - carrying your own target and winning new ITSM software and consulting business across Defence, Government and Financial Services.
  • Coaching the existing team of senior, sales-carrying delivery people - lifting their performance and embedding a consistent commercial approach.
  • Building and managing pipeline, including directing the lead-generation / outreach resource.
  • Driving invoiced revenue upward from its current base, with clear scope to grow it substantially.
  • Owning the commercial model - bringing forecasting, accountability and a modern, tooling-led approach to sales.

What we're looking for

  • A background in consultancy, with the credibility to sell both software and advisory services.
  • A proven software seller.
  • Exposure to ITSM platforms (ServiceNow or similar) is highly beneficial.
  • A true player/coach who can close deals personally and develop a high-performing team.
  • Experience selling into Defence, Central Government, NHS or Financial Services, with a 'black book' of contacts to bring.
  • High energy, enthusiasm and genuine hunger - someone motivated by a performance-led, high-upside reward model.
  • UK-based and comfortable with travel; location is flexible (the business has a presence in London, Ipswich and Leeds).

Package

Base salary: £110,000 - £130,000. Bonus: Weighted toward performance, with an accelerator on over-achievement as invoiced revenue grows.
