We are seeking senior Secure by Design Leaders to provide strategic oversight and governance across a major defence programme. This role focuses on shaping security posture, setting direction, and ensuring consistent application of Secure by Design principles at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the Secure by Design approach across programmes or portfolios
- Establish and maintain security governance frameworks, processes and controls
- Provide senior leadership oversight of security risks, issues and dependencies
- Ensure alignment between security strategy and programme delivery objectives
- Act as a senior escalation point for security-related decisions and risks
- Engage with senior stakeholders across engineering, delivery, assurance and leadership functions
- Oversee assurance activities, audits and security reviews
- Support the integration of Secure by Design principles into organisational ways of working
Skills & Experience
- Active SC Clearance or above
- Extensive experience in security leadership, assurance or governance roles
- Strong understanding of Secure by Design principles within complex systems
- Experience operating within regulated, safety-critical or defence environments
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and shape strategic decisions
- Experience balancing security, delivery, cost and operational considerations
- Excellent communication, leadership and decision-making skills
