Are you a DevOps Engineer who wants to move beyond maintaining infrastructure and play a key role in building a modern platform from the ground up? I'm working with a fast growing AI startup that is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its engineering team and take ownership of some genuinely interesting infrastructure challenges. The business is embarking on a fresh Kubernetes implementation, so this is an opportunity to get involved at a point where your technical decisions will have a real impact on how the platform is built, deployed and operated.
What will you be doing?
- You’ll be responsible for helping design, build and continuously improve the infrastructure and deployment ecosystem supporting the wider engineering function.
- Designing, implementing and maintaining scalable, secure and highly available infrastructure.
- Taking a role in the implementation and ongoing development of Kubernetes.
- Working extensively with AWS to build and operate cloud infrastructure.
- Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Building, improving and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines.
- Automating repetitive operational processes and reducing manual intervention.
- Supporting containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitoring infrastructure and application performance and improving overall reliability.
- Improving security, resilience and operational best practices across the platform.
- Contributing to the evolution of the organisation's Platform Engineering capability.
Core technologies: Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, Infrastructure, Docker, CI/CD.
Experience with microservices would also be highly valuable! 5 years experience + would be preferable.
