Are you a DevOps Engineer who wants to move beyond maintaining infrastructure and play a key role in building a modern platform from the ground up? I'm working with a fast growing AI startup that is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its engineering team and take ownership of some genuinely interesting infrastructure challenges. The business is embarking on a fresh Kubernetes implementation, so this is an opportunity to get involved at a point where your technical decisions will have a real impact on how the platform is built, deployed and operated.

What will you be doing?

  • You’ll be responsible for helping design, build and continuously improve the infrastructure and deployment ecosystem supporting the wider engineering function.
  • Designing, implementing and maintaining scalable, secure and highly available infrastructure.
  • Taking a role in the implementation and ongoing development of Kubernetes.
  • Working extensively with AWS to build and operate cloud infrastructure.
  • Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Building, improving and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automating repetitive operational processes and reducing manual intervention.
  • Supporting containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Monitoring infrastructure and application performance and improving overall reliability.
  • Improving security, resilience and operational best practices across the platform.
  • Contributing to the evolution of the organisation's Platform Engineering capability.

Core technologies: Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, Infrastructure, Docker, CI/CD.

Experience with microservices would also be highly valuable! 5 years experience + would be preferable.

We’re particularly interested in engineers who have a Platform Engineering mindset - people who think about how to create reusable, reliable tooling and infrastructure that makes life easier for development teams.
