The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

Location: Hursley (on-site)

Working Pattern: 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm/7pm-7am), 4 days on/4 days off

Contract Length: Long-term contract through to 31 March 2030

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Clearance: SC and NPPV3 (or eligible)

Residency Requirement: 5 years unbroken UK residency

We are supporting a consultancy delivering services within a large, secure technical environment and are looking for Duty Technicians to join an on-site operations team. This role plays a key part in maintaining day-to-day service operations, providing technical support, resolving incidents, and ensuring high standards of service delivery within a secure setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle incoming technical support incidents, service requests and changes
  • Manage personal call queues and ensure tickets are resolved within agreed timescales
  • Provide clear and regular updates to users and stakeholders
  • Resolve issues ranging from password resets to more complex server-related queries
  • Escalate incidents to 3rd line teams when required
  • Perform software builds and rebuilds on PCs and laptops
  • Diagnose and fix hardware faults, including installing upgrades
  • Work closely with internal technical, delivery and project teams
  • Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service
Essential Experience
  • Experience in a technical support or IT operations role
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with hardware and end-user devices
  • Comfortable working in a shift-based, on-site environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit technical team
  • Eligible for SC and NPPV3 clearance
  • 5 years unbroken UK residency
