Lead Electronics Verification Engineer - DO-254 - Hybrid (Bristol)
We're looking for a Lead Electronics Verification Engineer to take ownership of verification activities for complex airborne electronic hardware.
This is a senior technical role focused on planning, executing and assuring hardware verification throughout the DO-254 life cycle. You'll lead verification strategy across complex electronic hardware, working closely with electronics, systems, safety and project teams to take products through verification and ultimately aerospace certification.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Strong electronic hardware verification experience within aerospace
- In-depth experience working to DO-254
- Experience leading end-to-end verification of electronic hardware, FPGA, ASIC and/or PLD-based systems
- Development and ownership of verification plans, strategies and compliance matrices
- Requirements-based hardware verification and traceability
- Experience defining verification approaches across simulation, analysis, inspection and physical hardware testing
- Experience supporting DO-254 projects through certification
- Ability to lead technical work packages and coordinate verification activities across multidisciplinary teams
Desirable:
- Electronic hardware or FPGA development experience
- DO-254 certification and audit activities
- DO-160 environmental qualification knowledge
- Electronic controllers or electromechanical aerospace systems
- Model-Based Design and verification
- MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW or Speedgoat
- Polarion or similar requirements management tools
- Experience coordinating suppliers or working with certification authorities
Additional Information

- Β£60,000-Β£72,500 depending on experience
- Hybrid working - Bristol
- Senior/Lead-level position
- UK citizenship preferred due to the nature of the programmes
