The Opportunity
Our client is a fast-growing applied AI start-up specialising in enterprise-grade RAG systems, knowledge orchestration, and agentic AI workflows. Their platform enables large, regulated organisations, particularly in financial services, to extract real value from complex data through retrieval-augmented generation, intelligent automation, and high-accuracy decision support.
This is a foundational commercial hire and the first SDR in the business. You will play a critical role in taking a highly technical AI platform to market and building a repeatable outbound motion from the ground up, working alongside an existing, experienced, senior sales team.
What You'll Do
- Generate sales-qualified pipeline through high-volume outbound activity across email, phone, and LinkedIn
- Book and deliver well-qualified meetings for senior sales and GTM engineering teams
- Act as a front-line representative for enterprise RAG, agentic workflows, and AI automation use cases
- Clearly articulate technical concepts and translate them into commercial and operational value
- Target enterprise financial services and other regulated organisations
- Build, execute, and iterate outbound cadences, messaging, and qualification standards
- Maintain accurate CRM data, pipeline hygiene, and activity tracking
- Contribute to documenting processes, KPIs, and a scalable SDR playbook as the team grows
- Work closely with senior sales, product, GTM engineers, and marketing to refine ICP and positioning
What We're Looking For
Experience
- 2-5+ years in an SDR or similar outbound role within B2B SaaS, enterprise tech, AI, fintech, or regulated markets
- Proven track record generating qualified enterprise pipeline
- Exposure to complex or technical sales cycles
Skills
- Strong outbound execution across multiple channels
- Ability to understand and communicate RAG-based solutions, agentic AI workflows, and automation platforms
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication
- Highly organised with strong follow-through
Mindset
- Comfortable with ownership, ambiguity, and building from zero
- Motivated by impact and early-stage growth
- Genuinely curious about applied AI and enterprise use cases
What's On Offer
- £50k-£70k base salary plus commission
- Competitive commission structure (will be elaborated on in discussion but expectation is to double salary).
- High-impact, first-commercial-hire role in a well-funded AI start-up
- Direct exposure to senior sales leadership and GTM strategy
- Clear progression as the commercial team scales
- Hybrid working with a London office (minimum 3 days per week)
