This team is building a platform designed to rethink how organisations use data and automation to make decisions. At its core is a complex problem around improving how systems operate at scale, with a strong focus on using modern software and AI to drive better, faster outcomes. Engineers here play a central role, not just in building the platform, but in shaping how it evolves and delivers value.
The Opportunity
- Lead and grow a team of product engineers building next-gen Generative Marketing tools
- Shape engineering strategy, architecture and delivery in a product-first environment
- Work directly with customers to influence product direction and innovation
- Operate in a highly autonomous culture with strong ownership (no traditional PM structure)
- Play a key role in scaling a fast-growing, venture-backed business
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and developing multiple engineering teams (circa 10–15 engineers)
- Driving technical direction across backend systems and platform architecture
- Supporting delivery of scalable, high-performance products using modern cloud technologies
- Partnering closely with engineers to solve complex technical and product challenges
- Contributing to product and growth strategy at a senior level
- Fostering a high-performance, collaborative and inclusive engineering culture
The ideal candidate is someone who blends strong technical leadership with a sharp product instinct, comfortable operating at depth in a modern programming language (ideally TypeScript or Golang) while leading teams through complex, ambiguous problems. They think in systems, not features, and are motivated by building high quality, scalable products that deliver real-world impact. Equally, they’re a clear communicator who can influence without ego, bring engineers together around a shared direction, and thrive in a high ownership environment where speed, curiosity, and collaboration matter just as much as technical excellence.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background as a Senior/Staff/Principal Engineer
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in fast-paced product environments
- Experience managing or mentoring teams solving complex technical challenges
- Strong technical grounding in Golang OR Typescript
- Experience with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or GCP)
- Ability to inspire, influence and develop high-performing teams
- Experience working in environments with rapid release cycles and high customer engagement
SR2 and our client are committed to building diverse, inclusive teams. Applications are encouraged from all backgrounds, even if you don’t meet every requirement.
