Are you a highly proficient Mechanical Engineer ready to deliver solutions to challenging design and integration problems in the aerospace industry? Join a rapidly growing specialist in crewed and uncrewed aircraft technology, working on diverse and interesting projects throughout the full product lifecycle.

You will report to a Team Leader and work within a multi-disciplined project team, contributing to air vehicle design, integration, and test activities. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:

  • Produce Technical Artifacts: Produce engineering artifacts including design data and technical documentation, to required standards (e.g., BS:8888) and good GD&T principles.
  • Design and Manufacture Support: Maintain configuration management of design data and support manufacturing teams to ensure designs are manufacturable.
  • Contribute to Testing: Contribute to item, sub-system, and air vehicle-level test activities, including flight test(s) and the production of formal test reports.
  • Develop Concepts: Develop design concepts that remove or minimise hazards, incorporating industry good practice.

What We're Looking For:

  • CAD and Design: Proficient in use of SolidWorks or a comparable CAD package and aware of design for manufacture principles.
  • Technical Calculation: Demonstrable experience of performing first-order calculations to support design decisions.
  • Qualifications and Clearance: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with Honors, in an Engineering or Science subject and possess the ability to hold Security Clearance (5 years residence in the UK).
