Are you a skilled Air Vehicle Design Engineer ready to be at the forefront of Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) development in the UK? Join a rapidly growing specialist in aircraft operations and technology, working on diverse and interesting projects throughout the full product lifecycle. You will work within a multi-disciplined team, delivering air vehicle design and associated systems engineering outputs.
As an Air Vehicle Design Engineer, you will:
- Lead Design: Complete detailed design and customisation tasks for UAV platforms, covering structure, electrical wiring, powerplant, and vehicle systems.
- Design for Manufacture (DFM): Ensure design solutions meet manufacturing requirements, including shop support and design amendments.
- Ensure Compliance: Deploy configuration control and documentation appropriate to customer needs, and support major technical design reviews and compliance verification activities.
- Support Testing: Prepare for and execute sub-system level testing and support vehicle-level testing, resolving resulting issues quickly.
What We're Looking For:
- 3D CAD Proficiency: Proficient in 3D CAD using SolidWorks or a comparable software package.
- Manufacturing Experience: Demonstrable experience of design for manufacture.
- Security Readiness: Must be a British Citizen or have existing right to work in the UK, with the ability to hold Security Clearance (5 years residence in the UK).
