We’re working with a rapidly scaling FinTech startup building a modern trading and risk technology platform in partnership with an established hedge fund. They’re creating a high-performance engineering hub in Newcastle, focused on building serious systems used in real financial decision-making. This isn’t a maintenance role.
You’ll be joining a small, high-calibre engineering team building core components of a live trading platform in a Microsoft stack, using modern C# / .NET to solve complex distributed systems problems at scale.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and building high-performance backend services in C# / .NET
- Working on distributed systems, low-latency services, and data-heavy workflows
- Contributing to architecture decisions
- Building robust, production-grade software used in a real financial environment
- Collaborating closely with a tight engineering team
Tech environment:
- C# / .NET (latest versions)
- Modern cloud and distributed system architecture
- Strong engineering fundamentals over framework churn
- Exposure to Python is a bonus (not required)
