We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to support the design and delivery of technology solutions within a secure, regulated environment. This contract sits outside IR35 and offers a light hybrid working model for an SC-cleared professional who can operate confidently across multiple teams and domains.
The Role
You will take ownership of solution design across initiatives of moderate scale and complexity, ensuring designs remain robust, coherent, and aligned to wider organisational goals. The role requires both hands-on architectural input and the ability to influence direction, challenge assumptions, and manage technical risk throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and evolve solution designs that balance risk, complexity, and business impact.
- Ensure architectural consistency and quality as requirements and constraints change.
- Refine designs iteratively using delivery feedback and stakeholder input.
- Shape and support technical roadmaps that align with broader strategic objectives.
- Challenge existing requirements and propose alternative approaches where appropriate.

- Operate within established governance frameworks, contributing to assurance activities.

Experience Required
- Proven background in Solutions Architecture within complex or regulated environments.
- Strong design decision-making skills across distributed systems and platforms.
- Experience working with governance, assurance, and risk management processes.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across engineering, delivery, and leadership teams.
- Active SC Clearance is essential.
