We are supporting a national NHS data and operations programme and are looking for Implementation Consultants (X3) with strong EPR / EMR experience to work alongside NHS trusts on the delivery of operational and pathway-level improvements. This role sits at the intersection of clinical systems, operational delivery, and data enabled decision making. You will work closely with trust teams to translate real world workflows into practical, usable tools that support service improvement and elective recovery.
Expectations:
- Supporting NHS trusts with EPR / EMR implementation, optimisation, and adoption;
- Working with clinical, operational, and informatics stakeholders to map pathways and workflows;
- Translating EPR data and operational processes into clear, actionable requirements;
- Supporting trust teams through change, go-live activity, and early benefits realisation;
- Acting as a credible on site presence with clinicians, managers, and digital teams;
- Feeding real world operational insight into a wider national delivery team.
What we’re looking for:
- Demonstrable experience delivering NHS EPR / EMR implementations or optimisations;
- Strong understanding of NHS operational pathways (e.g. elective, RTT, theatres, patient flow, discharge, cancer);
- Experience working directly with trust level clinical and operational stakeholders;
- Confidence navigating messy data, imperfect systems, and real-world constraints;
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, outcomes-focused delivery environments.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience with Epic, Cerner / Oracle Health, EMIS, TPP SystmOne, or Lorenzo;
- Background in NHS informatics, BI, or CSU environments;
- Exposure to national or multi-trust programmes;
- Basic data literacy (e.g. reporting, SQL, data quality).
Why this role:
- High impact work on a nationally significant NHS programme;
- Opportunity to influence real operational change, not just produce documentation;
- Collaborative delivery environment with experienced NHS transformation professionals;
- Clear scope, pragmatic delivery, and strong trust engagement.
Contract Details:
- Rate: £350–£400 per day (Outside IR35);
- Duration: 6 months initially (extension likely);
- Location: London – 2 days per week on site;
- Start: ASAP / short notice preferred.
