I'm recruiting for an experienced QA Test Engineer or senior level Automation Tester to join a fantastic company based in Bristol. The role offers hybrid working, with three days a week in the Bristol office (close to Aztec West) and two days working remotely.
This is a newly created role within a brand-new Automation and Advisory Team that’s being established to drive quality and innovation across the business. The company is currently in the middle of a major transformation, upskilling their manual testers in test automation and moving them towards roles that are much more heavily automation focussed.
As part of this journey, they are building a small expert Automation Advisory Team. You’ll work closely alongside their existing Senior Automation Tester, helping to provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to testers and delivery teams across the business.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a central team that will play a crucial role in upskilling teams, improving automation practices, and shaping how testing is delivered across the organisation. You’ll help define and drive automation best practices, create shared libraries and tooling to support other teams, and occasionally embed yourself into delivery squads to help solve specific technical challenges.
You’ll be heavily involved in building and enhancing automation frameworks, improving tooling, advising on test strategies, and ensuring a consistent, scalable approach to quality across all teams. The business primarily uses Playwright and TypeScript, so experience with these is highly desirable, but they are happy to consider strong Automation Engineers from other technical backgrounds.
This is a brilliant opportunity to have a real impact at a company where quality is taken seriously and where you’ll have a strong voice in how automation evolves across the business.
Salary is up to £70,000 with bonus on top and an amazing benefits package.
