Senior Delivery Manager – Remote

Location: UK-based, Ideally South West/Wales based – Remote – Once per month travel to South West/Wales

Type: Full-time | £70,000 – £80,000 – Fixed term contract 12-18 months

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Delivery Manager who is ready to take the lead on complex, high-impact, multi-million-pound programmes which involve multiple workstreams and governance – and play a key role in shaping the future of a fast-growing, people-first consultancy.

The Role

As a Senior Delivery Manager, you\’ll hit the ground running- leading cross-functional teams through high-risk, high-profile transformation programmes. You’ll be the calm in the chaos, ensuring that delivery is on point, stakeholders are aligned, and that value is always being added.

Your first assignment? Partner with a major government client, overseeing two key delivery teams across transformation and continuous improvement streams. You’ll bring clarity, challenge, and calm leadership to a critical digital transformation journey. They are currently undergoing discovery, alpha and beta phases and form 1/5th of a large enterprise-scale transformation programme. They are currently entering phase 2 of the programme – now is the time to join them!

Essential skills:

  • You will have experience of GDS
  • You will have seen through transformation programmes in the millions and have extensive experience in delivering discovery, alpha and beta phases
  • A strong knowledge of Agile and Lean practices – you will know how to coach and lead teams in Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid and Lean practices and always innovating
  • You will know how to negotiate, influence or set budgets in complex environments and you can write into business cases.
  • Strong commercial management skills
  • Full life-cycle perspective
  • You will have the ability to maintain delivery momentum, make a process work and play a conscious effort to keep in mind team dynamics and resolve and problems
  • You will know how to optimise the delivery flow of teams.

  • Coach teams in Agile, Lean, Waterfall, or Hybrid ways of working
  • Spot and unblock delivery issues, risks, and dependencies early
  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative team environment

Be a Trusted Voice in the Room

  • Influence senior stakeholders with empathy and authority
  • Bring structure and calm to complex, fast-moving environments
  • Provide challenge and insight on transformation planning (e.g. capability, commercial, operating model)

Champion Best Practice Across the Board

  • Lead with curiosity, creativity, and evidence-based thinking
  • Share knowledge generously—mentor, coach, and elevate others
  • Embed continuous improvement into everything we do
