The Role

As a Quality Control Engineer, you will monitor all QC activities, ensure compliance with agreed standards and control plans, and play a key role in problem resolution and containment actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Quality Oversight and Control Plan Management: Manage and monitor supplier quality control activities at subcontractor locations, ensuring products meet company and regulatory standards. Produce, maintain, and monitor performance against control plans to drive consistent quality outcomes.
  • Problem Resolution and Compliance: Facilitate effective problem resolution and ensure containment actions and related stock issues are handled efficiently. Review supplier QC documentation to ensure adherence to system design, configuration, and regulatory requirements.
  • Guidance, Best Practice, and Reporting: Provide local QC guidance to subcontractor teams, support the generation of project quality plans, and ensure suppliers use best practice in product and documentation delivery. Deliver concise and timely reporting to management on product conformance and production schedule adherence.
  • Multi-Site Support: Support quality activities at more than one facility within the UK as required.

About You

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Standards
  • Experience in Supplier Quality Control: Proven track record in managing supplier quality and conducting audits.
  • Experience in Mechanical Assembly and Configuration Management: Understanding of final product acceptance processes.
  • Experience in Aerospace, Defence, or Safety-Critical Systems
  • UK Clean Driving Licence: Required for travel between sites.
  • UK SC Security Clearance or Ability to Obtain
