Product Manager (AI Proof of Concept)

SR2 is supporting a central government-backed project exploring the next generation of digital public services, with a focus on agentic AI proof of concepts. The team is developing new ways to deliver personalised, relevant and practical guidance for citizens.

We’re looking for a hands-on Product Manager to help shape and deliver this work. You’ll join an established multidisciplinary team, working closely with a Lead Product Manager, user researchers, designers, researchers, and engineers to take ideas from concept through to prototype.

Role:

  • Managing the day-to-day delivery of a cross-functional team.
  • Defining and refining scope, MVPs and backlog priorities.
  • Working with stakeholders to align on outcomes and success criteria.
  • Supporting the development of AI-driven prototypes, ensuring they’re usable, testable, and add real value.
  • Coordinating user testing with partner organisations across government and public sector accounts.
  • Helping the team balance innovation with practical delivery, focusing on what can be tested and learned quickly.

Requirements:

  • Recent experience delivering Proof of Concepts or prototypes in the AI space (essential)
  • A track record of product delivery – defining MVPs, managing scope, and supporting agile teams day to day.
  • Strong collaboration skills, working with designers, researchers, and engineers.
  • The ability to balance big ideas with practical steps, turning strategy into action.
  • Experience in user-centred design and testing (bonus if you’ve worked with public sector or education services).
