The organisation is modernising how data is ingested, processed, and consumed in real time across a wide portfolio of digital products used at national scale. This transformation is focused on building a modern, cloud-based Enterprise Data Platform that enables reliable, real-time data delivery to power analytics, personalisation, experimentation, and insight-driven decision-making.

About the Role

As Executive Product Manager, you will take end-to-end accountability for the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of this platform. You will lead a team of Product Managers, shape platform capabilities, and ensure the platform delivers measurable value to a broad set of internal stakeholders as it evolves. This is a high-impact leadership role operating at the intersection of product strategy, data engineering, and organisational change.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the long-term vision and product strategy for an enterprise-scale data platform.
  • Build and maintain a clear, outcome-driven road map aligned to organisational priorities.
  • Ensure the platform enables analytics, personalisation, experimentation, and data transformation use cases at scale.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Managers, aligning multiple squads around shared outcomes.
  • Partner closely with engineering leadership to ensure the platform is scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-efficient.
  • Drive execution across complex, multi-team delivery environments.
  • Translate organisational needs into clear product outcomes and platform capabilities.
  • Drive adoption and usability of the platform across diverse internal teams.
  • Act as a senior stakeholder partner, communicating complex technical topics in clear, business-focused language.
  • Ensure the platform meets standards for data quality, governance, security, and compliance.
  • Balance speed of delivery with long-term platform sustainability and reliability.
  • Bring external market insight and industry best practices into platform strategy.
  • Shape decisions using evidence, experimentation, and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in senior product management, owning strategy and execution for complex technical platforms.
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring Product Managers and developing product craft.
  • Strong background delivering data platforms, platform products, or highly technical internal products.
  • High autonomy and confidence operating in ambiguous, evolving environments.
  • Strong technical literacy across modern data platforms, including event-driven architectures, streaming and real-time data pipelines, and cloud-native systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to define success metrics and measure impact in complex environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong product narrative writing.
  • Highly effective stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Outcome- and metrics-driven mindset.

Required Skills

  • Experience with Agile and iterative product delivery models.
  • Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and quality frameworks in large organisations.
  • Experience operating within empowered, cross-functional product teams.
  • Strong bias toward learning through experimentation and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Practical use of prioritisation frameworks (e.g. Impact vs Effort, ICE, Kano).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience working closely with cloud provider engineering teams.
  • Background in organisations with a mature, product-led culture.

Why This Role

  • Influence a mission-critical enterprise data platform used across multiple high-traffic digital products.
  • Operate at national or enterprise scale with modern cloud and real-time data technologies.
