We're working with a fast-growing FinTech that's using AI to remove friction from the financial application process, cutting the time it takes customers to go from application to decision.
They're now looking for a Technical Lead to lead a team of around 7 engineers, reporting directly into the Head of Engineering you'll have significant influence and scope.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to step back from code and just manage.
You'll stay hands-on. Designing, building and shipping while also owning mentoring, coaching, and helping the team raise its own bar.
What they need:
- Real, hands-on experience taking AI/LLM capability into production, not just prototypes or POCs
- Strong software engineering fundamentals (Python-based stack)
- Someone opinionated and conversational who's happy to challenge ideas (and be challenged)
- A genuine interest in leading people: mentoring, pairing, growing engineers
- Would suit an experienced technical lead or a strong Senior Engineer ready to step up into their first official Lead role.

- Central London Office
- Hybrid working, with flexibility about on-site days.
