We’re partnering with a highly respected, award-winning digital consultancy delivering complex, large-scale transformation programmes across the UK public sector. Operating at the forefront of data, AI, and digital innovation, this organisation supports critical national projects across sectors such as healthcare, defence, central government, and transport — helping drive meaningful, real-world impact through technology.

With continued growth and strong demand, they are now looking to hire a Business Development Manager to expand their presence across public sector markets.

The Opportunity

This is a senior, strategic new business role focused on developing and winning opportunities across UK public sector organisations. You’ll play a key role in building long-term client relationships, shaping complex deals, and influencing go-to-market strategy, working closely with senior internal stakeholders across delivery, product, and commercial functions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Driving new business development across public sector markets (central government, healthcare, defence, transport, etc.)
  • Building trusted, senior-level relationships with key stakeholders (Director level and above)
  • Leading complex, high-value sales cycles (£500k+) from early engagement through to close
  • Collaborating with internal teams to shape compelling, solution-led propositions
  • Supporting bid development, partnerships, and commercial structuring
  • Acting as a market-facing ambassador for the business

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in public sector business development or enterprise sales
  • Strong understanding of digital transformation, data, or technology solutions
  • Track record of winning large, complex deals (£500k+)
  • Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and decision-makers
  • A consultative, strategic approach to sales
  • Strong commercial acumen and deal-shaping experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience working across multiple public sector domains
  • Exposure to AI, data platforms, or enterprise digital programmes
  • Experience with bids, frameworks, or strategic partnerships
