SR2 are partnering with a growing digital consultancy who’ve recently secured several major public sector projects – and they’re looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to help design, build, and deliver cutting-edge digital solutions across their portfolio. You’ll work hands-on across both front-end and back-end technologies, contributing to enterprise-scale software that has a tangible public impact. Collaborating closely with Engineers, Delivery managers, and stakeholders, you’ll ensure solutions are delivered efficiently, securely, and to the highest standard.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is confident engaging with both technical and non-technical teams.
Key Requirements:- Strong experience developing complex, enterprise-level solutions
- Excellent back-end skills with Java or .NET
- Confident with front-end technologies such as React or Angular
- Proven experience working in the public sector (essential)
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and best practices
- Excellent communicator – able to collaborate across teams and disciplines
- Pragmatic, solution-oriented, and highly collaborative
- Experience delivering Agile projects in enterprise or regulated environments
- Background in consultancy or client-facing project delivery
Hybrid – (3 days on-site in the Manchester area or London)
