This role sits at the intersection of embedded systems, autonomy, and aerospace control theory, and is ideal for engineers who want hands‑on technical ownership rather than documentation‑heavy work.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop guidance, navigation, and control algorithms
- Support flight control system development for UAV platforms
- Model, simulate, and tune control systems (MATLAB / Simulink or equivalent)
- Work closely with embedded, firmware, and systems engineers
- Support integration, test, and flight‑test readiness activities
- Commercial experience as a GNC / Flight Control Engineer
- Strong background in control systems and flight dynamics
- Experience working on UAV, aerospace, or autonomous platforms
- Confident collaborating across embedded, electronics, and systems teams
- UK‑based and able to attend site when required
- MATLAB / Simulink, Python, C/C++ exposure
- Experience with real‑time or embedded implementations
- Security clearance or eligibility
Why apply
- High‑impact work on cutting‑edge UAV & autonomous systems
- Hybrid working with strong technical ownership
