Field Service Engineer | Northern Ireland | £38,000 + Company Van
I'm currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a growing engineering business supporting specialist automated equipment across the UK.
This is a genuinely hands-on field role, ideal for an engineer who enjoys fault-finding, maintenance, repairs and working directly with customers.
The role:
- Service, maintain and repair automated industrial equipment
- Carry out inspections, routine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
- Respond to emergency breakdowns
- Support installation and commissioning of new systems
- Assist with equipment upgrades and software updates
- Provide technical support and training to customers
- Complete service reports and documentation
- Manage your own schedule and customer travel
- Regular UK travel with overnight stays
- Occasional international travel for training
What we're looking for:
- Level 3 electrical and mechanical engineering qualification/experience or equivalent
- Strong hands-on experience working with machinery or industrial equipment
- Excellent electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience in maintenance, repair or field service
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable with regular UK travel and overnight stays
- Self-motivated and confident working independently
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills
